Yes, a credit card is required to rent a vehicle from Big Gate Rentals. We use the credit card to secure your reservation and cover any potential additional charges or deposits. Can I rent a car on someone elses behalf ?
To rent a vehicle from Big Gate Rentals, the name on the driver’s license must match the name on the credit card used for payment. Unfortunately, you cannot rent a car on someone else’s behalf. However, if you need additional drivers, you can easily add them to your rental agreement. Each additional driver must also provide a valid driver’s license and meet our rental criteria.
Is there any cancellation policy?

Where can I collect and drop off the rented car?
All vehicle pick-ups and drop-offs are conducted at the preselected locations specified in your reservation. If you need to change the location, please contact us in advance. Any changes to the pick-up or drop-off location must be approved by our team. We strive to accommodate your needs and will do our best to assist with any adjustments.
Do I need an international driving permit?
At Big Gate Rentals, we want to make your car rental experience as convenient as possible. For visitors to Sint Maarten, you do not need an International Driver's Permit (IDP) to rent a vehicle from us. A valid driver’s license from your home country is sufficient to drive on the island.
